Simpods MVC comes with some SCSS settings to best suit your compiling needs. you can access these settings here. These settings will allow you to change how your SCSS is compiled within the system. These settings include whether to compile, when to compile and how to compile. See below for more details on how to use them.
1. Enable SCSS Compiling
The “Enable SCSS Compiling” option basically does what it says on the tin. Toggling this option on will compile the SCSS files located within the “mvc/admin/scss” and “mvc/scss” folders and their sub-folders. These styles will then be saved to “mvc/admin/css”, “mvc/css” or their appropriate sub-folder.
2. SCSS Compiling Frequency
The “SCSS Compiling Frequency” option has 2 settings;
- This option will check the times of the SCSS file (and any appropriate imports) and compare it to that of its corresponding CSS file. The file will then only be compiled if it or its imports are newer than the CSS file.
- On Load
- This option will compile all SCSS files regardless of if any changes have been made. This can be useful when doing some heavy development work.
3. SCSS Compile Format
The “SCSS Compile Format” option allows you to choose the format of the CSS file once it’s been compiled. This option has 5 choices;
Examples of each of these choices are shown below.
